It exists a IR Remote control on the Palm platform.
May be if someone wants to program a version for the Newton it should be
easy to contact the author of this Palm software.
The soft memories each sequence from a real remote control. It should be
universal.
Just my 2 cents.

I found it and tried it out....unfortunatly I don't own any electronics by
mits, emerson, or sony. :( It needs many more infared codes to be useful,
and its not changable like button sizes and and which buttons go on which
screen....I wish I could program....
