No, you get to leave the clipboard contents sitting there until you paste
it. If you do the copy thing on the clipboard contents, you can paste it as
long as you keep copying it. If you copy it one too many times, you have to
paste it somewhere and rub it out to get rid of it. If you get the package
"cliphoard" or "optionen" you can have multiple clipboards. I usually run
with 3 enabled, enough to do the important fields in Names, or another
package.
