A few days ago someone asked if Palm PQA apps could be ported / run on a
Newton. At the time I thought that it would be impossible. However, this
morning I was checking freshmeat.net (think of Newton Versions, but for
mostly Linux and Open Source software) and found a program called LinPQA
that compiles and *decompiles* Palm PQA apps to HTML:
http://www.linuxlabs.com/software/linpqa.html
Suddenly hopeful, I download a copy, found a copy of the Starbucks locator,
decompiled it using the utility, cleaned up the HTML, and I now have a very
ugly but working HTML form that uses the Palm-optimized interface on
locator.starbucks.com. If you people keep bugging me I'll make it usable
and post it, and convert more by request.
