If you have MS Word (I use Word 98 on a Mac) and NewtonPress, you can do
it fairly easily. Open Word. Select the package on the desktop Mac, and
open it in Word. Make sure the file format "Recover Text From Any File"
is selected. Then copy all the text and paste it into NewtonPress, with
the page size selected for MP 2X00 format. This doesn't copy the graphics
over, if you want those you need to use Newton Tool Kit, or X-Port or some
other application to copy them on the newton and export them to the desk
top to be copied back into NewtonPress.
Not too bad, but time consuming. More and more people are converting the
texts, and many should be available on-line.
