I had some squirrelly behavior with SimpleMail v4, too. It didn't stop when
i went back to v. 3.3...eventually, I had to do a brain wipe and restore of
everything except "system information"
that fixed the problem, but I lost my authorization code for Lava. I had to
re-enter that, and a couple other things, because of the system info being
wiped.
A note..I played with eudora during that time, too, so it could have been
some kind of rare interaction.
Right now, I'm using SimpleMail 3.3 without problems.
