Do a soft reset while holding your pen about 1/2 inch from the left hand
side on your screen.

On my MP 2x00 with 2.1OS
I shifted recently all my OS enhancements (Dashboard, Graffiti, Bigger
Notes, DragNDrop Names Hack, Faralon Enet, All Dates Long, styles+ ,
NamesHack, Find+, AutoLCD, etc, of course if you use , More Info, DateMan,
TimeTracks or any of that stuff) to my internal store, and all my other
software to a 20 meg card and reset choosing the option to activate all
packages on the internal store while not choosing to activate the packages on
the external store, (just pick up and quickly replace the pen in the same
spot gave you the first dialogue box to get one for the external store if the
Newt seems stuck lift it up and quickly replace it again if your timing is
not correct it will skip the option for not activating packages on the
external store so you will have to resoftboot again).
I did this because I thought it might limit the number of system errors and
"a problem has occured" messages which I had been having reciently, ie by
minimizing the active software I hoped to minumize conflicts, and keep the
max free heap space available.
I found a few offending packages and deleted them but continue to use this
techinque to maximize free heap
To activate a group of packages I run a Dashboard thaw script (modified
for specific groups of packages for instance activating Works with all of
it's associated stationary or the thaw internet packages that came with
Dashboard)
This has beeb working great for me
