Sorry if this got out of hand, and yes, this is not the Doctor Who trivia list.

I would like to say one thing though. I think it's telling how many
DW fans are on this list. Isn't part of the attraction of the Newton
the promise of performing Who-like miracles with it? We want it to be
like the Doctor's sonic screwdriver, a do-everything ubber gadget
that saves the day from evil. Remember the lovely "presumed
obsolescence" thread? While not exactly triggering mines to stave off
the Sea Devils, that thread had a real tone of superior tech
overcoming prejudice and arrogance.

Okay, not an excuse, but an attempted explanation and protracted apology.

Time to behave.
