First of all, welcome to the community! We recently had a discussion of
the best Newton to take notes on in college and, while there were those
in dissent, my vote and others was for the eMate. It has a built in
keyboard and is made to be rugged for the educational market. Its main
drawback is that is is slower (25 MHz vs. 160 MHz) but most agree that it
is the best for note taking and keeping your life in order while cruising
campus. Robert Benshop (sorry if I spelled the name incorrectly) has
some left (new, in box) for I believe $300.00. You can also find them on
eBay and such.
