In the NewtonDev distribution (see http://www.unna.org) you can find the
following interesting files:
C++/NCT_Projects/DDKIncludes/QD/ConfigQD.h
C++/NCT_Projects/DDKIncludes/QD/NewtQD.h
These appear to be header files for Quickdraw routines. Right now Waba
has to do all its drawing through allocating NewtonScript drawing objects
and asking NewtonScript to scribble them. That's LOTS of unnecessary
overhead. If someone could be so kind as to explain how GrafPorts work
and all the other majick mojo involved, I'd love to do what I can to help
get Waba drawing with pure C++. Then I might be able to release my
full-screen Asteroids and PacMan games for machines other than the MP2K.
:-)
