When I use PackType, it seems to adds the following to any file that I
drag on top of it:

  Type : 'pkg '
  Creator: 'pkgX'

Just double checked with ResEdit after converting a variety of files.

Also FWIW, my NBU files have no Resource Fork. When using ResEdit to
open my NBU files, ResEdit asks if I want to create a Resource Fork.
