[NTLK] Flash card problems - Help!

I truly hope someone can help me get these flash cards working. I just
purchased a 16meg and 32meg flash card from ebay, and now when they arrived
today the newton sends an error message, "There is a problem with this card.
(Newton cannot recognize this type of card)".

The cards are made by M-Systems and are the FlashLite D Series cards.
According to the seller in his auction they work in the Newton. Not as yet
they don't!!!

The information on the back of the card states: LDPA-FD-16-V-C C-3.36. The
front of the card also states, "TrueFFS".

How can I format and use these cards. Is it even possible, or did I just get
ripped off.
