Not the Palm. I can highlight and edit text very similar to both the
Newton and the desktops. In fact, it takes LESS strokes to delete text
on the Palm than the Newton. And less time too, becauses you don't have
to tap-and-hold and wait for the squeak before scratching out. Just
tap-and-drag to select, then stroke the backspace (or cut, or copy, etc)
stroke on PalmOS.
Don't have the clips on the side of the screen though.

Not on the Mac. It's called a "clipping". The name is the first part of
the clipping. You can clip graphics, too. You can even double-click
the clipping to see the whole thing. And they stick around, as they are
just files. I use the hell out of clippings on the Mac.
