In principle the battery cradle for the MP130 can be used with the MP2k1 as
well. They both have 4 AA cells. The external batteries are simply connected
in parallel to the internal batteries but have forward Ge-diodes to prevent
internal current flow. The cradle has two strings of 4 AA cells each in
parallel and the two diodes thus prevent also flowing current from the
internal Newton accu into the cradle cells. Again, I got this spare thing
and would be willing to part with it.
