I think the way to do it is to sync the newton with a claris organiser file
and replace the palm desktop users file with that claris organiser file.
That way the newton sees the co file and palm desktop recognises it as a pd
file.
In order to sync with PD, you have to create a new user, I call mine
" Newton sync" and before syncing you have to make sure that the active PD
file is that one rather than the CO file to which you want to sync your
newton otherwise it wont work. I am indebted to Richard Harbottle at
Imperial college London who explained this to me. and I think to the list as
well.
Once the info is in PD, it should be no problem to sync with the Palm device
of your choice for what it is worth.
