[NTLK] MP2k input dead?

Hi folks, I picked up my beloved mp2k a few days ago after many months of
disuse. I'm going back to school soon though, and want to use the mp as a note
pad as I have in the past.

However, it doesn't seem to want to respond to touch screen input. Power-down
and all manner of resets didn't seem to help. Any advice?
