On the amiga there's a general cnet.device that works with almost any NE2000
compatible card around, I've been using a handfull different cards already
on various A1200 and A600 machines, veing a betatester. About 30 different
cards are tested and do work with it, most of them cheapo enough for everyone.
The entire archive, including C-sources, is public domain.
I think it would be great to get a similar flexible driver for the newton.
(oddly enough there are _none_ support for this at all on the macs afaik)
So, if some developer want to have a peek (I dont know how relevant the
sources would be for developing newton driver) the archive can be found
