FWIW, those in uniform do not want nor glorify war. It is their job when
called upon. Most hope that day and the carnage that follows will never
come. A soldier (sailor, airman, etc.) knows all to well the result of
war -- and many have seen it with their own eyes which is far more worse
and graphic than anything you will see on TV/video.

By the same token, these individuals prepare for war in case that day
comes -- always hoping that it won't. BION, many have died (training
accidents) while preparing for war. They train hard since they never
know when their country will ask them to go and must be prepared at all
times.

I have never seen an Armistice Day/Veterans Day focused on the glory of
war. The focus has always been on the sacrifices of the soldiers
(sailors, airmen, etc.) that enable those of us who enjoy freedom to be
that way.

And that is truly what today is for...a day of remembrance.
