Yes, a veteran is a reminder that the price of freedom demands alot of
sacrifice.

IIRC... 'Patton', the movie, circa 1970;
..'Blood and Guts'-Patton promises potential glory for his soldiers;
..a soldier says 'our blood and guts, his glory'.
