If you watch too much TV News especially the sensationalized, hysteria
inducing kind, then yes. Many trips to the throne are sure to happen.
I've noticed maybe 3 or so days after those tragic events and still now,
that the local TV stations News, here in Los Angeles, are just always full
of reports on stuff like this. But they are never educating. Is it like
that in other parts of the country? I'm sure it is.
They are just creating like this hysteria without facts. There was some kind
of strange odor in a subway system recently, and I remember thinking that
although I like our authorities to be very precocious I couldn't help feel
that the news had something to do with the panic.
You see footage of people buying gas masks on TV, SURPLUS gas masks that
probably don't work! Fighter jets were reported yesterday that they were
suddenly called to patrol the west coast. They made it sound so ALARMING.
But really it seemed like they were hunting for sensationalized news when
the fighter jets were just probably doing some routine, although necessary,
maneuvers. It was obvious. I feel like now, it's a ratings war. I really am
getting annoyed with the local news. Don't watch! And if you do, be
skeptical and ask questions. Media literacy is what we need in schools,
really.
The trick here is education. Find out for your self, listen to those who
really know about such things, read the facts if you feel like Immodium
doesn't work. Intelligence, wits (like the other fellow said), intellect,
observation, community vigilance, and the FBI number and your local Police
station number. That's probably all you need these days.
Then enjoy life even more! Get that upgraded barely used MessagePad 2100
finally, go out, exercise, then eat all them dishes you've wondered about!
Just be good! Love one another, man!
Hope this ends this thread, got go to the restroom now..ugh
- just kidding;^)
Peace,
Gary Z
