This seems to be the biggest issue with eMates, at least the 30 that I
used to wrangle.
You can go through the hassle of calling Apple and explaining that the
cable is broken, which has affected the touch-sensitivity of the screen,
and that you want to send it in.
You are charged a flat rate; US $175 for education, $185 for everyone
else; the last time I sent two eMates in was back in December, 2000.
