There should be a serial port, but I don't know what kind of connectors you
might expect. Usually, it's a DB-9 port, it has 9 pins I believe on 2 rows,
but I could be wrong. Unfortunately, I'm not an Intel person, but since the
Intel side is pretty much the jungle out there, I know that you could get a
serial port in a different flavor...

To retain formatting, you need to export those Works documents as RTF files
which Word should be able to open without any problem.
