Sure is. I am still using the adaptor (H22000) that came with my Original MP
back in '94 - truly heroic devotion to duty considering it has been plugged
in for most of the intervening years. I have a second 7W and a couple of 9W
adaptors.

It may be that my very well used (NiMH) batteries exhibit a different charge
characteristic than new ones but I have not observed any significant
reduction in performance from them. My MP1xx machine's NiCd packs were
predictably hopeless - the self-discharge characteristic is a real pest for
devices that are not used often and I will switch to NiMH cells when they
have expired.
