Here are some alternate transport mechanisms I have developed when I had
trouble with NCU crashing or simply refusing to transfer a file:
- You might try e-mailing it to yourself.
- You can also install NPDS and admin-post notes via a browser (good for
shorter notes).
There are also other programs to transport data from desktop to Newt,
including XPort, Sloup, and Thos. Tempelmann's Newton Data Browser (AKA
Newton DIL tester), haven't tried any of these in a very long time, so can't
remember how they deal (if they deal) with RTF, txt, etc.
