I've been using BackTalk since last year and it has been working great
until this summer. I have been able to send to and from both Palms and
Psions.
But since this summer I've had several problems with BackTalk. I'm not able
to beam notepad notes anymore. When I'm trying to beam a note, there is no
decoding/encoding options at all for the notepad in the Obex mode.
Is it possible that I have deleted something from the ROM that is essential
to make the BackTalk to work properly? I have tried to do a hard reset
twice and after that tried to install only the BackTalk, but not even then
the options shows up for the notepad (txt). I'm not even able to see the
Newton frames (or what it is called. I do not have my Newton with me at the
moment) as an option in Obex.
If I do not remember totally wrong, I would be able to see both the txt,
Newton frames and the option for the calender/meetings. There is no problem
at all for the calender/name/meeting beamings. Just for the notepad (txt)
option and the Newton frame option.
I have contacted Bob at Smartdog and he has not been able to find any
solution, yet.
I have one strange option in notes, though. The option to send the notes as
gifs. I'm not sure if this is a part of SimpleMail (for SketchMail) or some
other program. Could this be the culprit?
Anyone who have had the same problem or, even better, the solution to this
problem?
