I'd say a MUCH larger % of the home than that. I bought a house
(townhouse actually) recently, so I was looking around inside a LOT of
homes. Of the ones that still had people living there at the time
(about half) whenever they had a computer at home (and virtually of of
them did), it was *ALWAYS* a Mac. Always! That's either an
incredible coincidence.....or another element of proof that the mac is
more prevalent than the Microsoft-oriented trade press wants you to
think.

And the folks who owned the townhouse I live in apparently used 'em
too. I'm getting mac mail order catalogs there addressed to the
previous owner "or current resident").

People tend to keep Macs, especially PERSONAL Macs a lot longer too;
they have a far longer useful lifetime than PC's. Especially home
(read "game" PCs).

Educational issues factor into home PC's, too. Not to mention ease of
maintenance.
