Hello,

  True, the Replay's can go a bit higher in storage. But they are much more
expensive (in the 1000's of dollars for the really high capacity ones) and I
think the best interface is the Tivo's. (and not because I have a Tivo. I
look at what was available before I bought)

  The Tivo doesn't have the 30 sec skip feature. You can learn how to use
the FF function to get around that, but having the 30 sec feature would be
nice.

  People have figured out how to add an ethernet card to the Tivo. So now
you can get the TV listings through a LAN. Also you can now program your
Tivo via the Web and also people have figured out a way to pull the recorded
shows through the added ethernet card.

  Pretty nifty stuff.
