Okay, but looking on the groove of the good old vinyl disc you could

I don't think so. Analog simply means that at any time any value of amplitu=
e
is valid wheras digital means to me that a quantized value is valid only at
a discrete time and is not longer applicable if the time is not exactly tha=
t
moment as it was at recording. The same is true for the amplitude, which is
basically never the original amplitude, because of the quantization error.
