Actually, MacIP is TCP/IP over Applemumble encapsulation. IPTalk is
AppleMumble over TCP/IP Encapsulation. I don't remember if the Newton
does MacIP, but it would make sense, as it can do LocalTalk over the
serial port.

In order to do MacIP, you need a router of some sort that can do it. I
have a Localtalk-Ethernet router, but you can also do it with a linux
box (though it's not as elegant).
