With a hotel I know you can do that if you mail them a room deposit in
advance, which is hardly convenient unless you know your travel plans well
ahead of time. But I thought it was completely impossible to rent a car w/o
CC. How did you manage this? I've even asked the question at the rental
counter, just out of curiosity's sake and been told that you cannot rent a
car w/o CC, period.
