'Round here, folks still get killed in car accidents. Airbag or not.
I saw an interview with a safety expert who suggested that instead of an
airbag, he could put a spring-loaded bayonet into the steering wheel. At
any low speed impact, it would launch itself into the driver's chest.
Then people would drive WAY more safely.
Think about it. The safer you make something, the more recklessly people
use it.
