The movie is "Under Siege 2" (Steven Seagal) , the Newton is some
prototype MP130. At the time it was made, the latest model Newton was an
MP120 which the one in the movie was clearly not since it had backlight,
which only came with the MP130. At the time, this was very exciting
news, a glimpse of what was to come.
Of course, the stuff was totally bogus, Steven connected some wires of
the Newton to the telephone line and send out a fax that way - without a
modem - cool trick!!!
Best regards,
Chris
