I looked around and found thism which *might* be the proper cable
(under
SCSI cables no less):

I think this is the correct cable. The Compaq site lists the LaserJet
2200dtn printer (I assume a pretty recent model) as having a IEEE-1284
complient parallel port, but according to

This spec seems to not only cover Centronics port types (there's
apparently also a 36-pin version), but also DB port types (like a PC
parallel port)
