What he wanted was a way to get items off the bar at the bottom, so he could
turn them into backdrop apps. That's also simple.

Simply open the Extras drawer then tap and hold on the icon in the button
bar. Next drag the icon to the Extras drawer, and it's off the bar and in
the drawer. Now that you've removed it from the button bar, you can put
something else there by dragging it in the same manner from the Extras
drawer to where you want it on the button bar. It's really that simple.
