If you're not using SimpleMail as your e-mail transport already, you
should be. The old Enroute transport doesn't support SMTP auth, and never
will.

The SMTP authentication prefs for SimpleMail are under the SimpleMail
prefs entry in your Owner's card in Owner's Info.
