Paul,
Thanks much for your work on this driver. It's encouraging to see
progress
being made!! Here's my exp. with the new revision...
I have a SanDisk CF80 card, using a Memtek Media Adapter (CF to PCMCIA).
In RC2, this card would not format. Now, it does seem to format and
partition.
I copied about 3.8megs of extentions over, and it seemed to copy with no
problems. Attemps to unfreeze with FreezeMan (SAS) didn't seem to work
(but some people have claimed probs with FM). After rebooting, it came
up
with 'errors activating the packages' on the CF card, and -48025 errors.
Dashboard items (extras, etc) disappeared, and some programs I attempted
to run (from small backdrop buttons) produced -10606 errors.
After reformatting the CF partition, freezing FreezeMan, and copying
over
another 2megs of extensions, it appears to be working perfectly. I
followed
up the test by unchecking the extensions I'd moved to the CF card in
FreezeMan, then rechecking them (forcing a reassign of their new
location),
and the freeze group appears to work now as well.
So, mucho kudos on the current ATA rev. And for those that use
FreezeMan,
if you move items that are part of a freeze group over to your CF card
(this may very well apply to moving it to ANY other store), make sure
and edit the freeze groups (uncheck, recheck) so it reassigns where that
package is located or you may have some g'nasty problems.
Thanks again Paul! I plan on purchasing the full version soon!

Subject: [NTLK] [ANN] ATA Support 1.0RC3
Hi all,
I'm pleased to announce ATA Support 1.0RC3.
This new version brings big changes in the structure of the various
modules. This means that ATA Support now uses less memory. This also
means that I might have broken this or that. This is an early release
because it fixes the -10606, but if 1.0RC2 works fine for you, you
might want to wait for a couple of days to see if there are any
important bug that I haven't seen with my tests.
Please update the compatibility table
