Did you check and make sure the contrast slider isn't all the way up/down? Otherwise you might have broken your display =
cable, search the list archives for "eMate hinge" to see the relevant information...

I've been running an emate300 for four months, which has worked perfectly
until now.
When turning it on tonight, there's a brief flash of the desktop, then the
entire screen turns black (ie every pixel on).
I've tried a soft reset, a hard reset, and looked through the FAQ, with no
change.
Has anyone encountered this problem before, and if so are there any known
solutions?
