Re: [NTLK] NewtSync Question

I made the brave stride of trying to sync with
NewtSync last night, downloading the programs and
such. The problem I ran into was a bit weird: I was
accidentally still connected to the internet (modem
connection) the first time I tried to run NewtSync,
and the IP address it gave me happened to be the
address the modem connection was using. Hence, it
couldn't find my Newt.

So I disconnected from the Internet, and double
checked my TCP/IP settings to make sure that Ethernet
was set up properly and tried again. This time, I
never get an IP address, I only get "Searching on
localhost."

I start the Mac first, then get ready to enter the IP
address into the Newt, but it never gives me one. I'm
using my 3Com Ethernet card which connects fine to
Internet sharing, and the firewall is off. Any other
ideas?
