if your clips are present, but are broken, there is a way to fix them..

if you look at the clips themselves, there is a thin loop of plastic with a bump on it (the spring tension).. usually, it will break on one side of the little bump from overuse..

i've always kept my lid on my 2100, even if it was in the sleeve case that i have.. the reason is, if the lid is removed cases and just general use can place pressure on the clip itself, and cause it to break.. so, if the lid is there it spreads the pressure out and prevents the clips from breaking off..

what i did is to take a medium width rubber band, and clipped small sections from it.. just small enough to wedge into the "loop" of the clip.. and then re-inserted it into the case, and replaced the sticky plastic retainers..

this creates enough tension to make the clips work.. and they won't pop out of the casing.. and you can adjust the amount of tension you want to hold the lid..

just a tip for everyone that has the clips, but they will not hold the lid..
