For whatever it is worth and as a data point, I scrounged an old copy
of the defunct software, Freedom of Press, installed it in my iBook
running 9.2.2 and lo and behold my MP100 now prints to my Deskwriter
600.

The user interface of Freedom of Press is a bit rough, but I will
tolerate it, considering I now have printing from my Newton, whereas
before I did not.
