I am pretty sure that the original Newton 2MB linear Cards are Flash type.
Flash cards do not need any battery at all to keep the data.

I got the proverbial "the battery in this card needs to be changed"
message this morning. The card is an original Newton 2MB linear one and
I was wondering if I can ignore the message because I didn't think these
cards had batteries in them. Anyone know for sure?
