I'm trying to get my Newton online with no luck:
        * Hardware 130 with Newton Fax Modem card
        * Modem set-up: Hayes Basic, but have tried others
        * Software: NIE is installed as is Simple Mail and Eudora Pro
        * Set-up: All info per my isp (works on my desktop)
        * Status: Dials OK, hear tones, then error message
        * Error message:
                Problem connecting.
                Can't establish a link
                PPP negociation failed.
Is "Hayes Basic" the right modem set-up?
I downloaded "Modem Modifier" but don't know what to try.
Any suggestions?
