Subject: [NTLK] Any developers available to clean up Equate?
Why bother ? It was much slower than QuickFigure and had big, big issues
with large spreadsheets which QF managed to avoid. Equate was a bit nicer
from a usability point of view, but then again you had to wait 10 minutes
(on a 120 at least) to scroll to any cell further away than K20....(or
thereabouts).
And anyway, as I asked myself many years ago, do spreadsheets _really_ make
sense on a Newton ? An intelligent data access tool which supports
synchronisation within a desktop spreadsheet master document would be a lot
more appropriate, and a better use of developer time.
IMHO, anyway.
