I coulda swore I read answers to this... Oh well...
What Newt are you sending stuff to? If it's an NewtOS 2.1 device and you've
got NewtWorks on it, then I believe you can save Word docs on the iMac as
RTF and they'll go right into NewtWorks. For a non-2.1 device, I think the
only thing you can do is to upload to the Newt as straight text into the
Notepad. The third alternative is to produce a Newton book on the iMac and
upload that. (There's oodles about making books in the FAQ and if you
search the list archive.)
As for physically making the connection... Again, if you've got a NewtOS
2.1 device, the best bet is probably getting an ethernet card off eBay and
connecting to the ethernet port on the iMac. Otherwise, you're left with
using some USB-serial dongle hanging off one of the iMac's USB ports.
