No you're not wrong. The Tibook auto senses the connection... I found
this out by chance one day as I tried a cable to see if it worked: it
did.

I still haven't connected it by ethernet to the Newton (I use a serial
connection through a keyspan)... I first have to get a card. I still
haven't decided on which one to get. Any strong suggestions? (Yes I've
read the compatible list but I'd rather get some more "on hand"
experience with Ethernet cards)
