This is true. Dateman and other third-party Datebook apps don't like corrupt
entries in the built-in soup. I had horrible problems with corrupt todos
with both Dateman and More Info, causing me to purchase Action Names for the
simple reason that it uses its own todo soup. :-) I would start your search
in the built-in soups...
