I just went through a lot of the same. Lookout is the best working for
connectivity for Outlook. Outlink is available too, but IMHO, was quite
buggy and bothersome. The e-mail transfer you refer to in LookOut is
really not e-mail from Outlook to Newton, but a method of using e-mail
to transfer updates instead of a serial Sync.
I'm actually a bit sad that there hasn't been aything better yet. The
devolper of Notes2Notes v2 stated that he was thinking of adding e-mail
support, but I havn't seen any updates on his page recently (as in the
last one was Feb of 2001)
Hopefully someone can pick up the ball and keep this moving. (Makes me
wish I could code)

Subject: [NTLK] LookOut
Hi -
Does anybody have any views on LookOut for connecting to MS Outlook ? I
just tried it and it seems, well, unfinished (like just about all Newton
connectivity sw). Also it seemed to drain my batteries (using serial
connection). Using email connection doesn't seem to work... And it
doesn't
appear to have a website anywhere. But still... I used to use
Landware's
Sync+ on my 120, but that seems to have gone, and anyway it was for MS
Schedule...
