I did Daniel Padilla's speaker mod that wires a mono phone jack in line
with your speaker providing ample amplification for my headphones.
http://dev.newtontalk.net/~dpadilla/audio.htm is the link I used. My
only problem is that the volume controls on the Newton aren't very
sensitive, so I need to get a pair of headphones with a volume control
on them. Other than that, the mod works great.

Ed - thanks! I just downloaded it and have it working really well. I
can't figure out how to get it to work in a non-frames format. That
would make using it with NetHopper much easier. Shoutcast works
perfectly, though, and I've been doing the whole downgrading MP3s and
streams trick as well. I need to spend some time with the config to
make sure I'm not openning up any silliness on my machine for someone to
hack.
