ok, i did a hard reset and installed only the following packages, in
this order:
inetenbl.pkg
inetstup.pkg
enetsup.pkg
modmsup.pkg
newtdev.pkg
FarallonEthernet.pkg
3c589.pkg

afterwards, i went in to Internet Setup and it tells me:
"You cannot use Internet Setup because there are no module packages
installed."

i look in Extensions and here's all i see:
3C589
Farallon Enet
Newton Devices (tapping says "Newton Devices 1.0")
Newton Internet Enabler (tapping says "Version 2.0")
it also says it's active, blah, blah...

So where's the *sup.pkg packages i installed? hmm. weird, at least to
me. I think Victor's right: NIE Ethernet is NOT installed, despite my
repeated (and i thought successful) attempts to do so.

Linux: the last service pack you'll ever need.

What? You haven't picked up on the new legal system in the U. S.? If it annoys a large company, it's illegal.
