Hi !
Perhaps someone out here knows something about those PCMCIA Ethernet =
Cards
....
Nearly all cards i have seen so far have a so calles "honda" connector =
to
connect the "dongle" (aka Media Converter) to the card:
- Allnet
- Xircom
- 3 Com
Is there a (electical) standard for this connectors ? Are they =
exchangeable
?
I ask because i lost my Allnet Card during my last "home-move" and got =
now a
lonly dongle with twisted-pair connector and a Xircom Card with only =
bnc....
TIA
Ralf

I tried a 3Com part# 07-0337-002 with the PN895. The connector fits =
well but
none of the two LEDs lits nor is there a connection made. But this =
'Cable'
is about 5" long and got a RJ45 socket in a smal white housing. It is =
used
for the two speed 3Com Ethernet combo cards (which anyway dont work in =
the
Newton). One could probably use the connector only.
