I recommend 8.6 for that machine. I have a 7200 an a 7600 that both
work very well with 8.6. The 7200 has 24 megs of RAM, and things
still work well, so you ought to be okay.
If I were you, I would not bother with Netscape or Explorer, and just
go with iCab. While a bit slower on some things, it uses a lot less
RAM and hard drive space, which are important on that machine.
And the type 2 error that you mentioned is an address error.\
